GRACIE
After we lost Pebbles, my long-haired tortoiseshell moggie I swore never to have another cat as none could replace her - it was almost 6 months later that Gracie became the first of many.
Gracie is our very nervous Persian. She joined us in January 2006 and spent her first weekend hiding underneath the wardrobe in our bedroom.
It was all down to Gracie that we got our first Ragdoll, Casper. As she was so timid and at that time I was going out to work all day we wanted to get her some company. After much research via the internet I found out about Ragdolls and their love of company both of the human and feline kind. Despite all of our efforts Gracie remains the most introverted of our famiy preferring the company of the other cats.
BABY
Baby came to us as a gift from my step-daughter. Her cat Tilly gave birth to a litter of kittens and Baby was the only tortoiseshell in the litter. As such she reminded my daughter-in-law of the cat I had when she first met me, Pebbles. Baby became a member of our feline family in April 2007.
COAL
Coal and her brother joined us in August 2007. Coal is officially my daughter's cat but when Jenny moved out Coal stayed and has adopted Stan as her own private slave.
VINNIE
Vinnie is Coal's litter brother and they are both Baby's half brother and sister, sharing the same Mum. Vinnie was supposed to have found a home but twice he was let down at the last minute so stayed here with us instead. He is totally devoted to Casper, wandering all over the house crying when he can't find him.
LUCY
Lucy is my daughter's dog and moved in with us on a temporary basis in January 2006, one week after Gracie. Since then she has coped admirably with the introduction of one cat after another and now seems to think she is one of them!
